a birder’s paradise
Set in the Strandveld area of the Overberg, the rondawel is about two hours from Cape Town, heading south-east. The farm is famous for its exquisite fynbos biome with nature walks and hikes, including a small indigenous forest in the kloof with a deck and a cascading waterfall.
The walks can also be guided by the owner, on request, who has an intimate knowledge of the ecosystems in the protected property. The farm has a Stewardship agreement with Cape Nature to conserve and protect the fynbos heritage.
It is a birder's paradise with many endemics such as the orange-breasted sunbird, sugarbird and a long species list.
